Educate the Next Generation with Professor Pricklethorn Tree Care Books

The Canadian Tree Fund presents three children’s colouring books that educate children from ages 5 to 11 about the value of trees. All proceeds go to The Canadian Tree Fund to support tree research and education. These books feature the zany Professor Pricklethorn, a renowned arbor-fessor who has educated and entertained children in classrooms across North America and he’s always looking to leave a lesson behind.  Recently, the professor collaborated with Illustrator Jenny Duda to create workbooks that teach children about the benefits trees bring to our communities.

Professor Pricklethorn True Tree Crimes Colouring Book

The team’s newest book is called True Tree Crimes and in it Professor Priicklethorn presents 10 common tree crimes scenes, CSI style, which can be found in a neighbourhood close to you.  The wild-haired and bespectacled professor and his sleuthy pet dog, Chi Chi,  discover some of the mistakes homeowners make when “caring for” their beloved trees. For each crime scene, Pricklethorn and his pup serve up solutions based upon best practices.   The comical illustrations are all colourable. A limited number of copies of this book are available to the public. Order your copy here for a minimum donation of $10 CAD.
